Unfortunately, often they don't understand how your expertise translates into problem-solving. You have to learn their way of communicating and understanding the world.

This workshop is designed for postdocs and early-career researchers who are seriously considering a move beyond academia.

You will learn how to find jobs that are meaningful to you and how to translate your experience into language that resonates with employers in industry, policy, nonprofits, and beyond.

I'm a career consultant specialising in helping academics succeed in new career directions. I have a background in higher education, industry and communications training, and a doctorate in social science, focusing on employability.

I work with academics who are ready to move beyond short-term contracts and into meaningful, secure careers. I help researchers reframe their expertise, communicate their value clearly, and navigate satisfying careers in sectors outside academia.
